Another scrappy day!!
It's Saturday!!!! I love Saturday's!! It's noon and I am still sitting around in my pj's! I LOVE that!! Of course, I was up till 2:30 am scrapping! But that doesn't stop the boys from waking me up at 7:30am!!! Who needs sleep when there is scrapping to do???
Did a virtual crop last night with "my girls"! Of course we do it every Friday night so last night was really no different!!! However, last night was challenge night! We were challenging each other so that we stayed motivated and got lots accomplished!! I got 2 lo's completed, 1-2page lo, and 1 card! They challenged me to get a lo done in 1 1/2 hours - starting from scratch!!! I finished on time!! Ready to see???
"God Knows" is a lo of my sb.com friends Clara and Jennie that came to visit me this past summer!!! This was the lo that I completed in 1 1/2 hours - with even a few minutes to spare! I used Sketch #72 from Creative Scrappers blog! (they have amazing sketches and amazing designers!) Check them out!

Well, here are the card and lo that I got done this weekend!! Hoping to get more done here in a bit but thought I would upload here since I was updating on a challenge!!!

2009 Goals! WOOHOO!!!
My goal for 2009 was to complete 180 layouts!! Sounds like a lot you say? That is because for me, that IS a lot! But I just realized the other day that I have completed 165 of the 180 lo's!!! And it is just now October! With all the challenges that I am in for October, I should come up just short (2 lo's) of my goal by the end of the month!
So what is a scrapper to do?? Change the goal of course!!! So, as soon as I hit my goal, I am changing my goal! My new goal is 200 lo's for 2009! Bring it on!!!!!!
I also had a challenge goal. I slammed right past that goal months ago. I had never done an online challenge until 2009 and now I am completing 6 or 7 a month!!! My goal for the year was 6 or 8 - don't even remember!!
I did not set a card goal but have completed lots of them!! Talk about a savings from not going to the Hallmark store!!!!
Hope you are having a scrappy weekend!

Some lo's I have been working on!!!!
Just realized that I haven't posted any of my new lo's in a while!! I have been very busy scrapping and doing a lot of online challenges, namely at scrapbook.com! I love all the challenges that I have been involved with but it is the sketch challenges that been helping me to accomplish a lot!!! I now LOVE using sketches!!
It wasn't all that long ago that my "TWIN" challenged me to get the triplets first year scrapbooked by October! I have made a dent in them (as you will see below + many, many others) but I am not even close because I have sooooo many pics of them!! It has definitely been fun to go back through their baby-baby days!! They do grow up fast!!!

From Your Head to Your Toes was done for a sketch challenge! The twist was to use journaling strips. I was at a crop when I did this lo! I ended up using a lot of Basic Grey Cupcake! It wasn't mine! LOL! It was my BFF's! By the end of the day, we traded! I took the remainder of the BG Cupcake and she took my brand new pack of BK Marrakech! It worked for both of us!!
If Only was not for a challenge except to work on the boys 1st year pics. I love to distress on my lo's - if you can't tell!!
Journaling says "If only . . . you could stay this way for always! I pray that you remain this close as brothers and you always protect and love each other and have an amazing bond."
This was the first professional photograph of the boys - taken by the hospital photographer!
Oh yes, and can you tell that I am loving the kraft paper!!!
It just takes Faith! Isn't that the truth? My whole idea was to get this Jenni Bowlin Bingo card in! I love these cards!!! I even got some bling and flowers on this lo with my boys!!!
These were my favorite pics from last years trip to the pumpkin patch!! Altered the sketch for this challenge A LOT but was really happy with the way it turned out. I cut the pumpkins from the cricut, cut the stems separately and then used glimmer mist on both! It was my first experience with Glimmer Mist and was happy with it!! I then freehanded the lines onto the pumpkins!
2 Cute 2 Spook was another sketch challenge! Lots of distressing (Timmy's Distress Ink - which I LOVE!) on this one!!! The purple and orange ribbon going up and down are K&Co adhesive ribbon that I just took the distress ink over. And I love the Martha Steward Drippy Goo punch!!!! The title was cut from Blackletter Cricut cartridge and then again distressed! The pumpkins and bat were some old, old, old Creative Memories diecuts that I used stickles on to bring them to life!!! (and to add a little bling of course!!)
Scrappy Saturday - not much!!!! TIP included!!!
I have to admit, I am not good (at all!) about putting my finished layouts in albums! Why is that you ask? Well, because I don't scrap chronologically! So, recently, I discovered a solution to the lots of lots of layouts that were sitting up on a shelf - with no protection! *gasp*
I stopped in the local pizza place and I picked up 7 14-inch pizza boxes. When I got home, I wrote each of the boys names onto a box. I then added Shane and my name to another, another box for family, and one last box for vacation. What did I do then you ask? I went through all my completed lo's, sorted them by child, etc. and then put them in the correct box! I might add here that these were NEW, CLEAN, boxes!!! (You probably figured but I wouldn't want to steer anybody wrong!!) At least now they are sorted and safe from dust and other elements - such as sticky, dirty hands!!!
So, though I am not getting much scrapping done today, I have sorted my layouts, done laundry, finished an altered project (can't post because I am mailing to a friend), cut some diecuts on the cricut to send to a friend, started a couple of boxes to get to the post office to mail to some friends and went to a Tastefully Simple party!! I am printing some pics now for another sketch challenge!!
Got some scrappy time in last night and completed a sketch challenge layout and a birthday card. Will hopefully get more scrappy time tonight!!!
Happy Scrappy Day,
Heather
