Slam into Summer Blog Hop Day 4

Day 4 of the Slam into Summer Blog Hop!  Thank you for visiting me all 4 days!  Been great to see some new faces!!!  Hope you are all having a great summer!  Gonna be another nice one here today!  I plan to get some cleaning done and then hitting the pool for a bit!!!

Here is a layout that I did awhile back but I am not sure I ever shared!  123 Jump is a layout of my 3 boys and their 2 cousins that are only a month older than them!  Used a lot of chipboard circles on this layout.  Just glimmer misted them to match the page!

You should have arrived here after visiting with Penny at Scrap-Aholic!
If not, then below are all the blogs involved in the hop so jump in and catch right up!

Day 3 of Slam into Summer IIG Blog Hop

I see you made it back again!!!  Thanks for coming back to join me for some more fun!  Hope you are enjoying If It's Groovy's Design Team Slam into Summer Blog Hop

Day 3 still finds it very warm in Indiana . . . However, we did get some very much needed rain today!  Which is a very good thing!  It did not work in my favor though for these pictures I needed to take!

Found this idea on pinterest yesterday and decided it was a must try.  Now, please remember, this was my first attempt and I think I have learned a few lessons along the way but here goes anyway.
I got the idea from craftster.org.  I covered the bottom of an old cake pan with plastic beads.  I then placed into the oven at 400 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until the beads had melted.  Let the pan completely cool and this will pop right out!  Drill a small hole into it, tie some fishing line through and what do you got . . . a quick, super easy suncatcher!

As you can see, I used all the different color beads on this one but the next I plan to do by colors and do some red, white and blues to make for the 4th of July to hang around our deck.  These can be made in any size (I plan to make some from a muffin tin next).  I have also seen where they are made into windchimes and it is my hope to try that also!

These were so easy to make tho that I can't wait to recruit the little men this weekend to help me make more . . . choosing the colors that they want!

The Summer Blog Hop continues!

You made it back again!  HOORAY!!

If you are here on Day 2 of the If It's Groovy Summer Blog Hop, then WELCOME!!!

I don't know about where you are but it is HOT in Indiana!  And the first day of summer was only yesterday!  We experienced our 9th day of the year in the 90's!  Doesn't sound so bad but we normally only have 18 days in the whole year in the 90's!  It was hotter here yesterday then in Dallas or Orlando!  DANG!!!!

Yesterday I showed you an album that I made using recycled chipboard from work!  Well, here is yet another one today!  Yesterday purple, today PINK!  Not very often that I get to use these colors since I have 4 boys, but that's what makes part of this so fun for making it for someone else!  On top of that, it gives Kristen a way to be creative this summer, as well as record her life in 2012!

Don't forget to hit up the rest of the stops . . .
And they are:

Summer Blog Hop!!!

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Slam into Summer Blog Hop! You should have arrived here after visiting with Penny. If not, then just go and visit If It's Groovy (www.ifitsgroovy.blogspot.com) and you will be at the start of the hop!!!
Looking for an idea to keep the kids busy this summer?  Why not let them make their own album all about them?  I made this album using some recycled chipboard from work that was previously going in the trash!  Brought it home, made up an album, used my Cinch to bind it together and tada! An album for a friends child to add her comments and pictures to!  But you don't even have to put that much effort into it . . . just provide the materials and let the kids do it all on their own!    They could scrap their summer break, about their friends, their birthday . . . and the list goes on and on!  Let's get these kids being creative while they are not in school!

We here at If It's Groovy plan to show you projects over the next four days that make us think of Summer. We hope you enjoy your time and be sure to visit over each day as there may be new surprises along the way! We would love to have you follow our blogs and get to know us as well as give us a chance to know you :)

Happy Summer!!!
Heather

Thanks for visiting and I hope you swim, splash and sweat your way over to Michelle's blog!
