Let's Add 1 More!!!!!!!!!!!!

This lo is one I done for a sketch challenge this week! I just love these colors and really enjoyed this sketch! Hope you like it too!

Another scrappy day!!

It's Saturday!!!! I love Saturday's!! It's noon and I am still sitting around in my pj's! I LOVE that!! Of course, I was up till 2:30 am scrapping! But that doesn't stop the boys from waking me up at 7:30am!!! Who needs sleep when there is scrapping to do???

Did a virtual crop last night with "my girls"! Of course we do it every Friday night so last night was really no different!!! However, last night was challenge night! We were challenging each other so that we stayed motivated and got lots accomplished!! I got 2 lo's completed, 1-2page lo, and 1 card! They challenged me to get a lo done in 1 1/2 hours - starting from scratch!!! I finished on time!! Ready to see???

"God Knows" is a lo of my sb.com friends Clara and Jennie that came to visit me this past summer!!! This was the lo that I completed in 1 1/2 hours - with even a few minutes to spare! I used Sketch #72 from Creative Scrappers blog! (they have amazing sketches and amazing designers!) Check them out!

It's a cold, windy fall day!

I love FALL!!! I love putting on comfy clothes and a large sweatshirt!!! Well, I think fall is here!! Cold, windy and yet love the fresh air!!!

Figured out the self-timer on my camera a little more last night. That resulted in a new picture of myself, as well as a few pics of me and my little men! Think I will change my pic on here to the new updated me!!!

Well, here are the card and lo that I got done this weekend!! Hoping to get more done here in a bit but thought I would upload here since I was updating on a challenge!!!

Happy Scrappy Day!!

2009 Goals! WOOHOO!!!

My goal for 2009 was to complete 180 layouts!! Sounds like a lot you say? That is because for me, that IS a lot! But I just realized the other day that I have completed 165 of the 180 lo's!!! And it is just now October! With all the challenges that I am in for October, I should come up just short (2 lo's) of my goal by the end of the month!

So what is a scrapper to do?? Change the goal of course!!! So, as soon as I hit my goal, I am changing my goal! My new goal is 200 lo's for 2009! Bring it on!!!!!!

I also had a challenge goal. I slammed right past that goal months ago. I had never done an online challenge until 2009 and now I am completing 6 or 7 a month!!! My goal for the year was 6 or 8 - don't even remember!!

I did not set a card goal but have completed lots of them!! Talk about a savings from not going to the Hallmark store!!!!

Hope you are having a scrappy weekend!

Some lo's I have been working on!!!!

Just realized that I haven't posted any of my new lo's in a while!! I have been very busy scrapping and doing a lot of online challenges, namely at scrapbook.com! I love all the challenges that I have been involved with but it is the sketch challenges that been helping me to accomplish a lot!!! I now LOVE using sketches!!

It wasn't all that long ago that my "TWIN" challenged me to get the triplets first year scrapbooked by October! I have made a dent in them (as you will see below + many, many others) but I am not even close because I have sooooo many pics of them!! It has definitely been fun to go back through their baby-baby days!! They do grow up fast!!!

From Your Head to Your Toes was done for a sketch challenge! The twist was to use journaling strips. I was at a crop when I did this lo! I ended up using a lot of Basic Grey Cupcake! It wasn't mine! LOL! It was my BFF's! By the end of the day, we traded! I took the remainder of the BG Cupcake and she took my brand new pack of BK Marrakech! It worked for both of us!!

If Only was not for a challenge except to work on the boys 1st year pics. I love to distress on my lo's - if you can't tell!!
Journaling says "If only . . . you could stay this way for always! I pray that you remain this close as brothers and you always protect and love each other and have an amazing bond."
This was the first professional photograph of the boys - taken by the hospital photographer!
Oh yes, and can you tell that I am loving the kraft paper!!!

It just takes Faith! Isn't that the truth? My whole idea was to get this Jenni Bowlin Bingo card in! I love these cards!!! I even got some bling and flowers on this lo with my boys!!!
These were my favorite pics from last years trip to the pumpkin patch!! Altered the sketch for this challenge A LOT but was really happy with the way it turned out. I cut the pumpkins from the cricut, cut the stems separately and then used glimmer mist on both! It was my first experience with Glimmer Mist and was happy with it!! I then freehanded the lines onto the pumpkins!

2 Cute 2 Spook was another sketch challenge! Lots of distressing (Timmy's Distress Ink - which I LOVE!) on this one!!! The purple and orange ribbon going up and down are K&Co adhesive ribbon that I just took the distress ink over. And I love the Martha Steward Drippy Goo punch!!!! The title was cut from Blackletter Cricut cartridge and then again distressed! The pumpkins and bat were some old, old, old Creative Memories diecuts that I used stickles on to bring them to life!!! (and to add a little bling of course!!)

Scrappy Saturday - not much!!!! TIP included!!!

I have to admit, I am not good (at all!) about putting my finished layouts in albums! Why is that you ask? Well, because I don't scrap chronologically! So, recently, I discovered a solution to the lots of lots of layouts that were sitting up on a shelf - with no protection! *gasp*

I stopped in the local pizza place and I picked up 7 14-inch pizza boxes. When I got home, I wrote each of the boys names onto a box. I then added Shane and my name to another, another box for family, and one last box for vacation. What did I do then you ask? I went through all my completed lo's, sorted them by child, etc. and then put them in the correct box! I might add here that these were NEW, CLEAN, boxes!!! (You probably figured but I wouldn't want to steer anybody wrong!!) At least now they are sorted and safe from dust and other elements - such as sticky, dirty hands!!!

So, though I am not getting much scrapping done today, I have sorted my layouts, done laundry, finished an altered project (can't post because I am mailing to a friend), cut some diecuts on the cricut to send to a friend, started a couple of boxes to get to the post office to mail to some friends and went to a Tastefully Simple party!! I am printing some pics now for another sketch challenge!!

Got some scrappy time in last night and completed a sketch challenge layout and a birthday card. Will hopefully get more scrappy time tonight!!!

Happy Scrappy Day,
Heather

Thanks to all . . .

Thanks to all my friends and fellow scrappers that voted for my Brotherly Love lo on sb.com! Not only was it featured on sb.com, but it was also the Featured Layout of the Day for sb.com on Facebook! I was so excited!! I am not even on Facebook and wouldn't have known it if another friend from a challenge on sb.com hadn't told me about it! Anyways, it really means a lot to me that my friends and fellow scrappers thought so much of my work!!

Another big thank you to Shelly for sending me the instructions on how to post a picture on here!!! And to think it was soooo easy! Well, I never claimed to be a technodiva like my friend Ria!!!

Not a whole lot more going on right now! I am signed up for 6 or 7 challenges this month! On top of a normal life! What was I thinking! Oh well, something I love, love, love to do is create lo's of my family!!!

Looking forward to spending some wonderful ( & hopefully relaxing) time with the family this weekend!! Hope everyone has a wonderfully relaxing, scrappy and safe Labor Day weekend!!

Must go for now as my kids want to take over the computer to play their alphabet games! Hey, it's a learning game!! Who am I to say no to that!!!

It's been a while . . .

I was reprimanded by one of my best friends this week for not keeping my blog updated!! :) I love you Titi!! So here is an update on my life and the life of the Guys for the past month.

As I said before, I applied for a design team position but I did not get it! :( I am okay with that though! It was the first time that I tried for something like that but I know I am improving and can see my style changing all the time! I won't give up and will keep on trying!! In the mean time, I scrapbook whenever I can!! I love scrapping virtually with my friends on the weekends! It is great being able to get advice from other women who are very talented!!!

(If anyone can give me instructions on how to post my lo's here, it would be appreciated!)

Boys are doing great! Payton started Jr. High! Wow - I feel so old!! I have a child in Jr. High!! He seems to like it and is doing great! He has decided not to dance this year but is interested in getting involved with cross country and playing the drums in band!! Oh yeah, and he recently got braces!!! Between the braces and dress code, he looks so grown up when he heads to school!!

We are going through the potty training stage with Carter, Jackson and Grant! We have our good and bad days but that is to be expected! Hopefully soon we will be completely out of pullups! We have decided to hold off on preschool this year but thanks to Aunt Jennie, we are going to attempt to homeschool preschool!!! She is going to dig back into her skills from when she taught 3 year olds and create lesson plans and activities for us!!

We have been enjoying the summer and every opportunity we can to get in grandma's pool or out on the fishing boat!!! Getting lots of great pics but will not be scrapping those for awhile. Still working on a challenge from Aunt Jennie to get the boys 1st year complete by October. Don't think I am going to make it but all I can do is push towards the goal!!!

God continues to provide for us daily! We thank Him and praise Him for how He is working in and through our lives! Until next time . . .

The End of Another Week . . .

I must say, I never thought the work day was going to end! It was a rough day but between a phone call from a best friend, some great online friends encouragement and strength from God, I made it through. Not without many tears shed, but I made it through!!

Payton was away at church camp this week. It was his first week away from home that he wasn't with family! He did a great job and loved it! Even said he is going back next year!!! He makes friends so easily that I knew he wouldn't have any problems!!!

I went to my evaluation for physical therapy for my neck, shoulder and back pain/tightness. I start therapy next week!!! I am praying that this relieves everything and I can get back to being "comfortable" again!!!

I sent in my first application this week for a DT. Can't wait to hear! Really praying about it!! It would be so cool!! I love their kits!!! Would be totally easy to get others hooked with all the great stuff they include!!

Besides that, not a whole lot happened this week! Pretty quiet - just the way I like it!!! Should be able to get some scrappy stuff done this weekend! Hoping to get at least a couple lo's and some cards done before another work week starts!!

4th of July camping trip

So, hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July weekend!! Hope you got to see lots of fireworks!! (or BOOMS as my little men call them!)

My weekend started on Thursday last week!! We packed up the vehicles and boat and headed to a campground for the weekend! This was the boys' first camping trip! I must admit, I was looking forward to it a lot but was also nervous about taking 3 3-year olds camping for the first time! They did great though! They loved sleeping in a tent and going fishing!

We had raccoons and cats that got into our stuff the first night. We didn't see them but our neighboring campers did and scared them away! All they got into were the ears of corn and toilet paper. No major loss - Thank the Lord!!

We did experience a light rain over the weekend but Mickey Mouse's 3 Muskateers and a portable DVD player kept the boys entertained until the rain passed!

I think Shane and Scott (my BFF's husband - he and my BFF and their daughter went with us) were worried about the food for the weekend. They have to admit that Kara and I planned a great menu, the food turned out pretty good and they were impressed on a couple of occasions!! We even had a fish fry and fried up the fish that Shane and Scott had caught earlier this spring!

The best part of the weekend for me was watching the fireworks from the boat. It was relaxing and dark and people were letting them off from all around the lake so they were going off all around us!! It was a beautiful sight and it was so cool to see the reflection of the "Booms" off the water!

Yes, this means that I did not get any scrapping done over the weekend!!! But it also means that I got lots of new pics to scrap!!!

My first blog post!!!

Well this "blogging" thing is all new to me but I am determined to figure out!! That's me - Miss Determined and Miss Competitive!!! I love a challenge and that is what this is for me at the current moment!!!

So, why is setting up a blog a challenge? For one, it is something I have never done before! For two, I am thinking of applying for a DT position and want a blog on the chance that I am lucky enough to get one!!!! (more info to follow if it happens)

So besides being a full time employee for a great company, I am also a mother of 4! I have an 11 year old! Yikes - he starts junior high this year and I am scared out of my wits!!! I also have 3 year old triplets - all boys!! My little men (all 4 of them) are my reason for scrapping!! They are growing up so fast and I want to be able to look back at my layouts and cherish the time they were little!!

Well, this is it for now!!! Lots more to do to make this "my site" and personalize it to me, but right now I have to take 4 boys to get haircuts!!! Thanks for checking in with us!!!
