Fall is here!

Fall is finally here in Indiana and it has been perfect camping weather for our family. Nothing I like better than sitting around the campfire, bundled up in a warm hoodie, great conversation with friends and a warm drink in my hand!  We only have about one more weekend before we close up the camper for the winter. *sigh*

Got home a little earlier today than we normally do so I took the extra time to scrap a page while I was doing some laundry and watching Sunday football!  GO RAIDERS!

I used The Scrap-Room freaky fast Friday formula to work on my layout today.  I used the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Saturday collection from the The Scrap-Room Flavor of the Month Kit from September to scrap this page.

In addition to the FOTM kit, the enamel dots are from Stampin' Up, the small talk from Tim Holtz, the Hello Love wood veneer is from Heidi Swapp (I believe) and then some various wood veneer pieces that I had.  Also used Ranger Dylusions for the splattered ink.

With the end of camping season, I am hoping that means more scrappy time!  I am way behind and need to get to producing some more layouts! Lol

Happy fall ya'll! ~ Heather

Sketch challenge

I always love sketch challenges.  They give me some direction when I don't have much mojo.  So while I was at a crop on Saturday, I decided to take on the Jump Start Sketch Challenge for September from http://thescraproomblog.blogspot.com/ . Here is the sketch.

I used the Flavor of the Month kit from The Scrap Room from the month of August. This was the Jillibean Soup Mushroom Medley collection.  I added a few of my own embellishments (enamel dots, wood veneers, banner and metal tree stump).

Love these pics of my triplets from a hike that we went on over Labor Day weekend.  They are adventurous boys for sure!  They were climbing and playing waterfalls and being . . . well, boys!  lol

Many other pages created while at the crop that I will get uploaded over the next few days!
Hope you enjoy!

The Good Life!

May???  Really???
I can't believe I haven't posted on my blog since May.
I got a good run of blogging going and then life hit me!
And not only hit me, it knocked me out!!!!!
Payton's graduation, Plexus convention to Vegas, Payton's Open House, Summer at the campground, Baseball Games . . . and the list keeps going!

So this week I cleaned my scrap room (from preparing for open house) and
found my scrapbook desk under everything!

And even though I was knocked out from life, my awesome Flavor of the Month Kits from
The ScrapRoom were still arriving.  What's truly sad?  The unopened boxes that just sat there while
I was waiting to pick myself up off the floor. :(
And then I opened them and mojo suddenly appeared!
So I jumped back into the challenges over at the ScrapRoom
and now let me unveil the results of that mojo!

First challenge was the August Jump Start challenge!

I used Jillibean Soup Mushroom Medley from the August Flavor of the Month Kit
at http://www.scrap-room.com/ for my layout.

And the reveal is . . .

We spend a lot of the summer out on the boat . . .fishing and tubing and swimming.
This if the life that we love!!!!  I love these relaxing moments with my Guys!

Hope you have been enjoying your summer!!!!

National Scrapbook Day!

This year I was busy running a garage sale on National Scrapbook Day.
I missed scrapping with my peeps!
Thankfully, The Scrap Room and Scrap Our Stash challenges go through Wednesday!
Sooooo, I had time tonight to get my layout done!

For The Scrap Room challenge, I used Sketch #2!!!!

http://thescraproomblog.blogspot.com/

For the Scrap Our Stash challenge, I chose from the options given and I used . . .
S - Sequins
T - Tags
A - Arrow
S - Striped Print
H - Hearts

www.scrapourstash.blogspot.com

So the big reveal, here ya go!

I noticed it's really hard to see all the gold in the layout, but love the pops of gold in the 1/2 circle, Sweet label, in the striped tag and of course, the sequins!  I used the March Flavor of the Month Kit from The Scraproom for this layout and then added some embellishments from a couple other

These 2 kiddos are graduating in a couple of weeks!!!  So hard to believe!

Keepin' On!

So much to do and so little time!  Can't believe graduation is only a few short weeks away and I still have so much left to scrap!  I have been getting about 2 layouts a weekend done.

Today I have been working on the April "Be Our Guest" sketch challenge over the The Scraproom.

For my layout, I used the Doodlebug "Anchors Aweigh" collection that came in the TSR April Flavor of the Month Kit!  (If you haven't checked them out, you really should!)

I spritzed the background paper with Dylusions Ink Spray in London Blue.  The majority of the layout was using the kit.  I pulled in some Thickers for the title.  I also used some Doodlebug twine from my stash and a couple of tags from the Paper Studio.  I used some foam adhesives behind the whale, boat and submarine for dimension.  Punched a small heart from some scrap paper and added the Smile puffy sticker from Me & My Big Ideas Happy Planner line.

Saturday Scrappin'

Hey all!!  Spending another Saturday getting some scrappy fun in!!!  Today I have been working on the Scrappy Friends Challenge!  You can find it here . . .

Here is the challenge:

I chose to use chevron instead of polka dots for the This or That Challenge.
I stuck pretty close to Brenda's sketch!
From Kelly's photo challenge, I took inspiration from the green and blue, the buttons and twine and the hexagon pattern in the wrapping paper.

And the final result is . . .

Payton was only a year old in these pics and now he is 18!  How time fly's . . . and so does my mind (& the minds of family members) as I am trying to figure out when pictures are taken!  That's the bad part of not staying up-to-date on my scrapping!  Shoot, I hadn't even started scrapping until 5 years later!

Hope you enjoy! ~ Heather

Sketch Challenge

While on a Zoom Call last night for my Plexus business, I was able to get a page done! I love that I can work my Plexus business into my life!  It's so easy!

I was using the sketch from the Be Our Guest Sketch Challenge for March from over at The ScrapRoom!

Here is the Sketch I was working off of . . .

And here is my take on the sketch.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch and kept it fairly simple.  Added some doodling around the edges, "boyed" it up, did some distressing on the papers and kept to a black/white/gray pallet!

Let's see what you create!!!
Happy scrappin'! ~ Heather

March Freaky Fast Friday

Spending Saturday in my scraproom!
I am using the Freaky Fast Friday for March from The Scraproom.
You can find it here . . .

Here is my take using the formula!
I used the February Flavor of the Month from The Scraproom to do this quick layout!

Lots to get done before Payton's graduation!!!
Got to get back to scrappin'!
Happy scrappin' to you! ~ Heather

Scrappy Friends Challenge

Another Friday night and here I am in my scrappy room!  WOOHOO!!!  Tonight I have been working on a layout for the This & That Challenge and the Scrappy Friends Challenge!  You can check out the challenge here: http://rochellespears.blogspot.com/2016/02/this-or-that-challenge-scrappy-friends.html

Here is the challenge . . .
I chose to use a polaroid frame and added my journaling to the bottom portion.

For the Scrappy Friends Challenge . . . it was to do the This OR That Challenge and one or both of the following.  I chose to do both . . . therefore, all 3!

From Kelly's photo challenge, I used the word "Love", the wood from the kissing booth and the circle from the cupcakes, as well as the red, pink, brown and white color scheme.

And here is the big reveal . . .

I absolutely love the results of this layout!  I used the TSR (The Scrap-Room) February Flavor of the Month Kit for my papers and some of the embellishments!

Thanks for joining me for another Friday night!

So, while attending a weekend scrapbook retreat this weekend, I decided to try out my first kit from The ScrapRoom and the monthly sketch challenge!  Here is the sketch and my take on it!

Hope to be sharing with you more often!  Payton is a senior this year so I have been BUSY trying to get his scrapbooks caught up before graduation!  The triplets are 9 and are very active with soccer and just being normal boys!  Life is crazy but I love it!
